2003 Reunion Recap:The 2003 reunion was a lot of fun! Here is a brief recap of the event, including some pictures and slides from the computer SlideShow.
FREE 2003 REUNION SLIDESHOW
CD !
If you would like a copy of the Reunion SlideShow (a computer SlideShow from the 2003 Reunion), e-mail Jeff Maddox and request a a copy be mailed out to you ( jeff@southsidereunion.com ); or, download the SlideShow in a 61.9MB zipped file (you are going to need a fairly fast connection) by clicking here. Note that the contents of the CD are approximately 233 Mb--so, e-mail is pretty much out of the question. All of the 37 slides in the SlideShow have been placed in the slide show near the bottom of this page. Scroll down or click here to go to the slides (they are best viewed at 1024 X 768 screen resolution. Click here to change it ). The 2003 Class Reunion was held at the historic St James Hotel, located right on the Alabama River in the old downtown area (i.e., Water Avenue) of Selma, Alabama--right across the Edmund Pettus Bridge and to the right on historic Water Avenue. Needless to say, we "took over the hotel"...and everyone had a GREAT time ! The reunion consisted of the following four major events over a 40-hour period during the July 25-27, 2003 weekend:► Informal Dinner at Lil' Mexico Restaurant (Friday evening)► Cookout at the Tyler Community Center (Saturday, noon)► Formal dinner, main ballroom of the St James Hotel (Saturday evening)► Final farewells, breakfast at Shoney's Restaurant (Sunday morning)In addition to the Reunion SlideShow, a Personal Data Sheet Pamphlet was produced, as well as a Contact Listing. These were handed out at the Reunion and are also included on the FREE CD mentioned above.Note that this reunion was referred to as "A Reunion of The Friends and Class of 1975" since other year groups were invited to attend as well (and they did!)--as will also be the case with the 2005 reunion. People were present representing the years 1970 to 1983! I will have to defer to Theresa and Debby as to the official [accurate] final attendee count...best I can recall we had over 70 in attendance (...and lots of fun!)
