Selma, Alabama

Frequently Asked
Questions (FAQs):
The purpose of this page is to
provide information regarding the upcoming "An Evening With Friends" reunions.
"An Evening With Friends"
social and dance events (including a live band) are done annually
WHO Is Invited: Anyone who attended Southside High
School, Selma, Alabama (although it is primary for those which attended in the
60s, 70s and up through the mid-80s)--and note in the interest of safety and
security, the reunion committee and the Selma Moose Lodge reserve the right to
refuse entry to anyone
WHEN: Annually; and usually on a Saturday in
late June or July each year. A social time is usually done form 6-8PM,
followed by a dance with a live band from 8PM to midnight.
WHERE: The Dallas County
Moose Lodge, Selma, Alabama (to get to the Moose Lodge, drive past the Selma
Mall with the Mall on your left…then continue from there out of town for about
1.5
miles and the Moose Lodge will be on your right)--but check the location each
year to make sure of the location
WHY: The purpose of the reunion is to allow our
former classmates to reunite after all of these decades (yes, decades), rekindle
friendships and reminisce about the “good ole days”…back when things were much
simpler…back before we had all the obligations and responsibilities.
COST: The admission cost for these reunions
has been $10 per person--you pay at the door (no RSVP is required)
Note that on some years, a cookout at lunchtime on Saturday
has also been provided--one reason for this is to have more activities than just
the social and dance, which allows for more interaction, and making it more
worthwhile for those traveling from other states.
